Welcome to Earth
From the moment mankind first walked it has looked towards the stars. What, then, happens when we find that the stars are watching back?

Seattle MegaGames is bringing Watch the Skies to Dragonflight for the convention’s 40th anniversary! The breakout alien encounter experience that brought megagames to the world stage will be making its first appearance at the convention on Saturday, August 17th. Join 53 of your closest friends, most bitter rivals, or both depending on political expediency in an experience unlike any other on Earth - or off it!

For newcomers, a megagame is part LARP, part board game, and all suspicion. Players are divided into teams - in this game as nations, corporations, the media, or aliens - each with their own goals to achieve, and set against other teams with limited info about what, exactly, everyone is up to. The next eight hours are spent frantically negotiating, researching, fighting, and most importantly role playing in order to try to steer world events towards your team's ambitions, and perhaps even towards your own personal ones as well.

For experienced megagamers, don't take anything for granted: Every game is different, and this one is no exception. The scenario is ever changing!

So come, and perfect your science, master the skies, and sharpen your wits. The fate of the Earth will be in your hands.

Signing Up

You can buy badges (granting only access to the game, not the convention) or tickets (if you are already attending Dragonflight) here:

Given the partnership with Dragonflight hosting us at the convention, this will be our most accessible game yet! For just the game it will be $35; if you are already attending the convention, the game ticket is only $25!

Terms and Conditions
We will not tolerate behavior that disrupts the game or constitutes harassment of others. If you feel that another player, or anyone else involved with the game, is harassing you or preventing you from enjoying the game, speak to a game controller. We reserve the right to take reasonable measures to address the problem, which may include warning the offending individual or, in extreme cases, ejecting them from the game.

Also ensure that you are familiar with Dragonflight’s rules and anti-harassment policy!

--Can I sign up to play with a group of people, as a team?

Of course! After registration is completed we'll send you a form where you can list all the people you'd like to be on a team with. We always prioritize keeping groups together, above all else! But preferences are processed in order of purchase, so if you book late, you may not be able to play on the same team.

--I am interested in helping run the game instead of playing, would that be possible?

It certainly is! We welcome both experienced and new gamers to help run the game if they would like to see behind the scenes and help make this crazy game come to life. Contact Matthew Zemek at if you are keen.

--How do I select my team or role?

We'll send an email after registration with a signup form to collect this information. Feel free to reach out to us at if you haven't been contacted!

If you don't know what you want to play, that's okay! We're happy to answer any questions you might have about the various roles.

--What about lunch?

There will be a one-hour break for lunch during the game. Outside meals can not be brought into the hotel, so plan to purchase lunch at the hotel restaurants!

--I've got a crazy idea I want to try in the game! Can I run it by you to see if it's possible?

Yes! The easiest way is in the Player Survey, but you can also contact us via email as well. We strongly encourage coming to the game with personal goals, and the more we know about them ahead of time, the more we can help them happen.

--Why would you need my email address and phone number?

We'll use your email address to send you materials before the game, and your phone number for secret communications during the game itself.

--I can't make this game, can you let me know about future games?

Of course! You can sign up for our mailing list here:
