One month ago the city of Radelaide's preeminent nightlife hotspot, Hal’s Groovin’ Castle, burned down. While many in the community mourned the destruction of this cultural icon, there were others who realised that this was an opportunity for those remaining venues to take control of the city’s live music landscape. The demise of this once great hotspot will be responsible for breathing a new life back into a live music scene that was in danger of being snuffed out. But was the fire truly an accident?
